Teams who have earned a spot in the FIFA World Cup 2022

Later this year, the biggest football competition will begin.


Qatar will host the FIFA World Cup in 2022. In the year 2010, Qatar was awarded the right to host the 2022 World Cup. To win the hosting rights, the Gulf country overcame four other countries. Australia, South Korea, Japan, and the United States were among the countries on the list.

Over 200 nations from around the world attempted to qualify for the World Cup. 32 teams in total have qualified for this World Cup. As the host, Qatar is automatically qualified.


Brazil who won the competition five times is the first South American team to qualify for the 2022 competition. The first European team to qualify was Germany, which won the competition in 2014. Argentina and two other nations as well as Brazil participated in the CONMEBOL qualification competition.


Following their success in their separate groups during the European qualifying rounds, Wales, Denmark, France, Belgium, Croatia, England, Spain, Serbia, and Switzerland joined Germany.


The World Cup playoffs allowed Portugal to advance.


For the World Cup in Qatar, 13 European countries have qualified. Additional nations that have qualified for the 2022 World Cup include six teams from Asia, five from Africa, and four each from North and South America.
